Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Grocery+ customer app, the Grocery Stores app for store owners, and grocerypluss.in, operated by GroceryPluss (“we”, “us”). By using them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What we provide

We provide a platform that connects customers with independent local grocery stores. Each store is the seller of the products it lists and is responsible for its product details, prices, stock, quality, packing and delivery. We are not the seller of those products.

2. Accounts

• Customers sign in with a Google account. Store owners register with an email address and password.
• Keep your account secure and your details (especially phone numbers and addresses) accurate.
• You stay signed in on your device until you log out. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Orders (customers)

• An order contains products from one store only.
• Prices, offers and stock are confirmed by our servers when you place the order. The total shown at checkout is the amount due.
• Placing an order is a request to the store. The store may accept or decline it, and may cancel an accepted order with a reason (for example if an item is unavailable).
• You can cancel an order in the app while it is still pending. After the store accepts it, please contact the store.
• Home delivery is completed only when the delivery person enters your one-time code or scans your QR code. Share them only at hand-over.
• Store pickup: show or tell your order number at the store to collect your order.
• Payment is cash on delivery or at the store unless the app shows otherwise.
• Questions about product quality, missing items or refunds should first be raised with the store. You can also contact us and we will help where we can.

4. Stores (Grocery Stores users)

• List only genuine products you can supply, with accurate names, sizes, prices, images and stock.
• Offers, advertisements and notices must be truthful and lawful.
• Handle customer data only to fulfil the order it came with, and keep it confidential.
• Fulfil accepted orders, keep order statuses up to date, and complete deliveries only with the customer's code or QR.
• You are responsible for the licences, taxes and legal requirements that apply to your business.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no fake orders or listings, no attempts to access other people's data or other stores' orders, no interference with the apps or servers, and no unlawful content. We may suspend accounts or stores that break these terms.

6. Content

Store owners keep ownership of the content they upload (such as logos and product images) and allow us to display it in the apps and on our website to run the service. The Grocery+ and Grocery Stores names and logos belong to us.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update the apps and these terms; we will update the date above, and for significant changes tell you in the app.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the products sold by stores, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the apps at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Delete your account).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
